What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Minnesota

We have lived on our property for 35 years. A man bought a piece of property next to us with a small dwelling on it. He has attempted to claim several feet towards our home as his own. He had it surveyed AFTER the purchase and we were told his dwelling actually sits on the legal description of our property. He has less land then he thought. He has caused us to hire an attorney. He cannot get clear title to his property so we gave up the portion his house was sitting on. Still not satisfied he had a 2nd survey and it indicates not just the actual solid property line but includes also what he would like which is those several extra feet. (About 15x100). The county tax man is confused by the 2 surveys. What is our next step. This has been going on since he purchased it 10 years ago and he is trying everything to claim it.
We occupy and maintain said are and have for 35 years.
Thank You
