Spite strip laws: Massachusetts

I am trying to locate specific laws that "prohibit reserve strip prohibiting access to the adjoining property" which are not permitted under Section IV.A.6 of the town of Abington Rules and Regulations Governing the Subdivision of Land. This was quoted in a document from 1991. I cannot locate this in their 2001 Regulations document.

Are there rules in Massachusetts or Abington specifically for us to reference re: a neighbor who was allowed to purchase a "spite strip" that has landlocked our and another neighbor's property?

If your property is truly landlocked you may be entitled to an easement by necessity. There's plenty of law on that, but knowing the law isn't going to help you, you will need a lawyer to go to court for you to get it.

Meantime, google "easement by necessity" and the name of your state and you should come up with helpful information.
