storm damage to trees

What is the name of your state? Alabama
A recent tropical storm pushed two medium sized oak trees onto a tree in our neighbor's yard. He is worried about damage to his tree and insists that we are responsible for having the trees taken down. We can not afford to do that at this time. Are we responsible for taking them down?

Have you checked with you home owner insurance company? Maybe you're covered.

We have checked with our home owner policy and unfortunately it doesn't cover unless the trees are damaging the house.
