What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Maryland

Hello:

My neighbor who I share a right of way with is stating that a future road mapped out on my survey is incorrect. He stated that the surveyor did not start from the correct point of surveying for the subdivision. He is stating that the future road is on his (10 acres) only and, does not touch my property.

If this is correct, here are my questions:
1. what do I need to do with the survey I have (can the surveyor redo my survey and correct his findings?) The same surveyor is doing my neighbors property?

2. Can this create a problem, down the road, when we sell? What should I do to avoid future problems?

Thank you in advance for your help?

Sincerely,
Mr. Boggs

Surveyors get paid to survey. Your neighbor does not. It's possible, but unlikely, that he made an error. If you're really concerned, ask the surveyor about it or get a 2nd surveyor to do the same job.

But do not take your neighbor's word for it.
