What is the name of your state? US Territory in the Caribbean .
Neighbors for over 35 years, refuses to move their vehicle parked 1 1/2 feet away from the wired fence whenever I want to cut my grass. NOte: Previously they have requested that we call them when we were going to cut the grass. Just recently they were given four days notice that we were going to cut the grass. This time, they came out (husband and wife)and stopped us while cutting the grass. They insisted that we purchase or find sheets of ply wood and put them along side the fence when the grass cutting was taking place. In addtion to that, they said that they would not move their parked vehicle, despite the fact, that they have moved it many times before. We didn't have any sheets of plywood. They also do not want grass from our yard to go over into their yard. They told us to keep out of their property. The grass went over before and we have always cleaned it up. We now decided to use heavy plastic and placed it along 20 yards of the wire fence which is theirs. The heavy plastic covers a wider area. Even with the use of the plastic in place it is so stressful knowing that the car is just inches away. Should the plastic be placed on their fence? Is this OK. They made no comment to us when the plastic was on the fence. Do we have rights? What can be done to keep the peace?
We do not want to cause additional friction and keep within the law.
