We own property in Arkansas. The land is bordered on three sides by private property and on the fourth by US Forest Service land. The private landowners refuse to voluntarily grant an easement.

Will the Forest Service grant an easement in cases like this? If so, what is the process? The access through Forest Service property is much further than through coming through the private property. In general, could we successfully sue for an easement through one of the private landowners should the Forest Service option not be feasible?

Thanks.

In general, the last property that caused your property to become landlocked should be the one that should grant you an easement, or the one you should first go after for an easement of necessity.
