What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania
We have an easement around our property. A bank has purchased a vacant field that adjoins our property. They want to build a medical building on the property and they are claiming that they have a right to use this easement to put in their sewer lines for free. My question is, does a private company such as the bank, have this right to use our easement without our permission. I was under the assumption that the easement was for public utility companies, not private companies. Thank you.

re read the easement , If the easement is only for ingress and egress then the party who would benefit from the easement cannot use it in any other way ,If it was worded to allow for utilitys like water gas and sewer to run through it then thats what is allowed . If you dont understand the wording use the links up top and get help to review the documents right away so that way you are 100% crystal clear on the easements language before they start construction .
