What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Hi,
When subscribing to adult entertainment online is the obligatory compliance statement a guarantee that all relevant laws have been observed? If the operator claims to be compliant, but is not, is the consumer also liable or is there some protection for the consumer in this regard? Can the consumer sue for misleading representation if the operator is discovered to be violating the federal regulations? It seems to me the consumer is at a serious disadvantage if commerce laws do not apply to these transactions.
