Question

do i have to return a package addressed to me that i did not order?


What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? virginia
I recived a package addressed to me that i did not order the company contacted me and wants me to send it back do i have to or can i keep it free of charge??

Or just write "return to sender" on the package.

Keeping the product would be entering you into a quasi contract which would require you to pay for the product. Ask them to send you a return label, or put return to sender on the package and put it in the postal box

Call it an implied contract. I believe that's the more common term.

a "quasi" or implied contract seems like being just a little bit pregnant to me.

Either your are or you're not pregnant. If there is a meeting of the minds and consideration there is a contact. If there is none, there is no contract.
