Ebuyer + EU Consumer Law

Son purchased a Goodmans LD 3265D1 TV, costing £349.99 online from Ebuyer via Comet with his DEBIT card on 30th May, 2008. He has rung tonight to say it is broken. It just stopped working and is just displaying every colour of the rainbow. He has the details and proof of purchase on his Bank Statement.

Am I correct in thinking that under the EU Consumer Law he is actually covered for TWO or maybe even SIX years?

How would he go about seeking a repair/replacement.

Since this site deals with US LAW, I don't think we are going to be able to answer your question about EU law.
