False AdvertisementWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado I found a vehicle online through craigslist and purchased it last night. When I got home I discovered that the vehicle did not have air conditioning like the guy said it did. I asked him in an email prior to buying the vehicle if it had A/C and he stated yes it does. It is going to now cost me $1600 to get A/C installed on the vehicle and had I known prior to buying it, that it did not have A/C I would not have purhcased the car, which was why I asked him if it had A/C or not before I bought it. Do I have any recourse considering the guy I bought it from falsely advertised it and even stated to me that it has A/C when it really does not? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? |

What did your mechanic say about the A/C when you had the vehicle checked out prior to your purchase? Are you stating that the vehicle had NO Airconditioning system at all? $1600 is very expensive to fix a non-working A/C system, but it's ballpark to put it onto a car that never had it to begin with. Did you pay the seller in cash? Has the title been transferred to your name already? |

| So, Even if he told me that he used the AC and it works just fine? I have several witnesses who were there that heard him say that as well. He told me it works, and when I got home, I had more of a chance to check it out closer and realized it did not actually have ac, which was something I should of checked before driving away with the vehicle. |

| I did pay the seller in cash and have not transferred the title into my name yet. It turned out that it did not have AC at all, so its 1600 to have it installed on a vehicle that did not have it to being with. And I did not take it to a mechanic prior to the purchase. |
