| Hotel Cancellation
What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)
I'm in Florida, and I made a hotel reservation over the phone, I was never advised of any cancellation policy. Today is Tuesday morning, and my reservation is for Friday afternoon, I called to cancel due to 3 Hurracaine threats that we have, and according to the hotel, if I cancel I will loose my $500.00 deposit, as they only accept cancelations if there is an evacuation notice going on, which that is ridiculous. I told them I will not risk my life and my family's because of a policy that I was never advised of at the time of making the reservation, I never received anything in writing from them, and/or sign anything for them, and I'm letting them know while in advace the cancellation. I already dispute the charge with my credit card, do you think I have a chance of winning? |
