What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
I live in NY i got the item from MD.

Hi There,

I just want to get my money back for an item i got on Craigslist.
I purchased a boat engine that i was told that was a 1998 motor.
I have documented my email conversations with the seller and he clearly states that the engine was a 1998 motor.

After purchasing the item i tried to fit the engine into my boat and it didn't sit right, so i ran the serial number and found it to be a 1988 motor not a 1998 motor.

I have explained to the seller the item was a 1988 not a 1998 and i wanted a partial refund or full refund and return the engine.
He is refusing to give me a partial refund or full refund if i return the motor.

I have had to rent a storage unit to keep the motor because i have no place to keep it and its costing me storage fees. Can i sue him in court?

Thanks
