Refund Time FrameI am in California and I purchased an upgrade to a website I created online. The website upgrade came with a "14-day-Guarantee you will be satisfied or you get a FULL refund - no questions asked!" I purchased it and the very next day, I requested a cancellation and a refund, along with a question about the estimated wait time of the refund. The only way to cancel and get a refund was to contact them via email and wait for a response. It has been nine days and I have only received an automated email saying, "Thanks for your message. You will receive a response from a live person shortly," and still no refund. There is no phone number or live chat for me to can contact. The 14-day-guarantee is written all over the website, including their contract, but NOWHERE does it give a time frame for a refund. Is there a general time period in which a consumer is supposed to receive their refund from a money-back guarantee? What can I do about this situation? Please let me know! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? |

| Go to Register.com and do a search of the web site. This will give you the name, address and phone number of the site owner. As far as the time to give a refund, this is basically a matter of company policy. If you paid via credit card, which would have been the smart thing to do, a charge back should get your money back.
