I'm in NC. Seller's return/refund policy:

Any item purchase may be returned in new and unused condition for any reason within 30 days with the following options:

* 100% Refund in the form of a store credit.
* Refund to your Credit Card with a 20% restocking fee.

Return shipping is always your responsibility.
What if the seller sends a defective item? Can they charge me a restocking fee for returning a defective item? Would contesting the charge be worth a try?

Don't "return" the item, demand they replace their defective item. If they want the old one back, no problem. (As long as it doesn't cost you anything.)
