    Delete or disabling account

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon

How do I delete or disable my account? I do not wish to be a member

Figure it out yourself. Most of us won't help over-involved, rude, adulterous idiots like you.

    Have a good day.

She went in and deleted all of the text in her postings and locked her thread.

Guess she didn't figure on "quote" still being out there so her text will be alive and well on the board and in cache.

You can't. Don't post any more and let your thread wander off into eventual history.

ETA: Well, that's not really true. You can email the moderator to remove your name. Go down to the bottom and click on "contact us". BUT, it won't remove any of the postings. That's an interesting thing about the internet - it's life in perpetuity.

There is no delete account function, but you can change your password to something you don't know, effectively disabling your account. Here's how:

Open notepad and, with your eyes closed, randomly type in some letters. Press Control/A to select all, and ctrl/x to cut. You now have your unknown password in your clipboard.

Go to the user control panel here and select change password. When you are asked to type in your password, press ctrl/v to paste in the letters you typed in above. When asked to confirm, press ctrl/v again.

Reboot your computer, and your account is disabled.

Or at "change password" just type in some random characters without looking.

But you have to type it in twice. If they don't match, you don't change the password.

Open email or notepad, put something ambiguous as a password, copy and paste twice. Then delete the email/notepad.

    Or, just don't logon again.

I really don't see why we need a complicated procedure when simply ceasing patronage of the site can just as easily keep you from logging in.
The only thing worse than getting into an argument about politics is getting into an argument because you refuse to argue politics.
