Don't know where to post this question.

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Here is my question....Does a person have to be a United States Citizen in order to practice law in California? Meaning, the person can come from another country, pass the bar exam and still be an immigrant?

    Just was wondering

It is pretty amazing that our society has reached a point where the effort necessary to extract oil from the ground, ship it to a refinery, turn it into plastic, shape it appropriately, truck it to a store, buy it and bring it home, is considered less effort than what it takes to just wash the spoon, when you are done with it.

I once knew an attorney who was from another country and passed the bar in CA and could practise. However, he did have a green card. He was not a citizen, but rather a legal resident.
