    Fraud of $8000.00

    What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
    I borrowed a family member $8000.00 and deposited it into his bank account and he wrote me a cheque and it has bounced now he refuses to pay me back. and it has been over a year now. He lives in Toronto and I live in Manitoba he is currently on parole for drug trafficking which I just found out about. What can I do?

    You missed two things:
    1. The bolded statement above.
    2. This is a technical issues section (not that it makes any difference - this forum is only for United States law.)

    Just because I can't stand it... You loaned a family member money. The family member borrowed money.
