You don't. You just stop posting until you eventually fade into oblivion.
Two things I am tired of typing: 1.) A wrongful termination does not mean that you were fired for something you didn't do; it means that you were fired for a reason prohibited by law. 2.) The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding contract or CBA expressly says otherwise. If it does, the terms of the contract apply.

Danemj3's question brings up an important fact that all others may wish to keep in mind when posting a question on this forum, or when posting anything on any site, including the social media sites: the internet has a long memory.
What you do not wish to have known by others, you should not post for others to know.
Danemj3 was sued for illegally downloading a copyrighted film. He posted to this site looking for information on the lawsuit, hoping perhaps for a defense he could use to the action, and also to vent a bit about the unfairness of the mass-defendant copyright infringement suit he found himself a part of. Danemj3 was never identified by name here and I do not believe his real identity could be traced easily through what he wrote. He remained nicely anonymous in his posts. That said, his computer contents could potentially be made part of a discovery request because of the nature of his lawsuit, revealing any evidence of an illegal download and, of course, revealing his posts here.
If any poster is the subject of a lawsuit, or involved in a criminal action or a custody dispute or whatever, and has come to FreeAdvice looking for legal direction, they should be very careful about what they post. They should not post anything personal that can lead another reader to his/her real identity and they should not post anything that could compromise their legal position (ie, they should not admit to committing a crime).
A poster should be aware that what has been posted to this site can be (and has been in the past) used against them in court. Real identities can be disclosed, should circumstances warrant and should FreeAdvice receive a subpoena for the release of a poster's personal account information.
To my knowledge, FreeAdvice has never received such a subpoena and the real identities of the posters here are as safe and anonymous as posters choose them to be and as anonymous as anyone can ever expect to be on the internet. A subpoena can be sought for information on any poster on any site but there first must be legal justification for one.
Please, however, be careful about disclosing in your posts too much of your personal information (or the personal information of others) so that you, like Danemj3, do not find yourself perhaps regretting later what you wrote and coming back weeks or months or even years later, trying to delete what is no longer deletable.
(a question, godschild100%: Are "law clowns" anything like "rodeo clowns?" .... because I think rodeo clowns are pretty cool)

Not a lawyer, but certainly a Judge.

cbg's general rule of thumb: If you have to ask whether it's legal or not, then regardless of whether the answer is yes or no, it's a really, really stupid thing to do.
Is that personal information you are going to wish to delete later, I'mTheFather?![]()
