    O/T - Pattytx

Patty passed away earlier this afternoon from advanced cancer. She was a close friend and I'm going to miss her very much.

Patty worked for over 30 years in Payroll and wage and hour compliance. She was a valuable contributor to the employment law boards, particularly in the wage and salary questions, and her knowledge and experience will be sorely missed.

Sleep well, Patty. I'll see you again someday.
Two things I am tired of typing: 1.) A wrongful termination does not mean that you were fired for something you didn't do; it means that you were fired for a reason prohibited by law. 2.) The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding contract or CBA expressly says otherwise. If it does, the terms of the contract apply.

My friend Patty. Thank you for just being you. I will miss you.

Yes she is in our Lord's house, but it is still hard knowing she is gone.

Give JetX a hug for us dear friend.

JAL, she had surgery later this week & passed away Sat.

We became good friends through the internet & I will miss her very much. It's hard to believe she was just recently posting but will be posting no more.

cbg, sending you hugs because I know you were very good personal friends.

    RIP, Patty. ♥

Such sad news. My thoughts are with her friends and family tonight.

My advice is most always sincere. But I will admit, I could personally care less about most of the people posting; I just care about their children. What happens to them matters to me, because, they are my future too.

Patty, if you're reading this: Thanks for the help with that issue.

CBG: Thanks for coordinating said help, and letting me know about her passing.
The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the government from making you answer any questions that may incriminate you.

    Go watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wXkI4t7nuc

Refusing to answer questions is NOT obstruction. Lying to the police is obstruction. If you say "I don't know" when you really do, that's obstruction. I suggest using the phrase "I'm sorry, but I don't believe it is in my best interest to answer your questions".

I'm sure hoping the friendship and engagement of interest she found here was a help to patty and a distraction from health issues and personal troubles I know this is true for me.

She really did know lots about payroll and was so very good at this "boarding" stuff. And we all become familiar with each other, and really become friends, though we never met FTF.

Hugs to cbg, and all of us, because we have truly lost one of our own.
