    Starting a soup kitchen

    What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

    Our community church would like to start a soup kitchen. I have searched and searched, but don't find any helpful information. Are there legal specifics we need to be careful to do? We want to help our community and not be shut down before we start!

    This is the technical question area of the forum, but I will give you a lead anyway.

    Start by contacting your county's board of health.
