She had heart surgery. I'm not sure if she's "officially" back yet, though she did respond to one post this morning.
Two things I am tired of typing: 1.) A wrongful termination does not mean that you were fired for something you didn't do; it means that you were fired for a reason prohibited by law. 2.) The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding contract or CBA expressly says otherwise. If it does, the terms of the contract apply.

I'd have to tell ya, and it's the funniest strange story ever!

I want to sue for mental anguish!

To make a long story short, my heart surgery was pre-empted, far past "at the last minute" by my super wonderful world famous surgeon being called in to assist on another surgery which was supposed to be quick, turned into a major emergency, and lasted twelve hours. While I languished, shaven and sterilized, on a cart waiting to go in. Talk about nerve wracking!

I'm trying again Monday after next. I feel like the "little boy who cried wolf" but actually, I'm back for now.

My thoughts & prayers are with you.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia
