What the heck is going on?

Ever since the maintenance was done over the weekend, this site has been moving so slowly I've been wondering if it has an anvil chained to its leg. As someone else said, molasses moves faster at 33 degrees F. What's up?

I sent an email to ***Mom*** asking her to have Woody reply to this thread. I'm getting failure to connect, database errors, and a very slow response time.

I got a reply from ***Mom***. They are dealing with a "situation" that is causing system performance and database problems.

She said the tech guys are on top of it.

    Patience....

I could think of a dozen different 'situations' that may cause these problems. Fortunately, I don't have to.

It's like when you see/hear a mis-behaving kid in a supermarket. You just smile and think "Not my kid, not my problem".
The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the government from making you answer any questions that may incriminate you.

    Go watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wXkI4t7nuc

Refusing to answer questions is NOT obstruction. Lying to the police is obstruction. If you say "I don't know" when you really do, that's obstruction. I suggest using the phrase "I'm sorry, but I don't believe it is in my best interest to answer your questions".

Yes, better, but now I keep switching between showing as Welcome, Zigner to showing the logon boxes. But the forum is remembering me either way...strange

BL, that happened to me too, but then I clicked on New Posts, and I showed up as logged in. This post will see if I really am, or not.

Edited to add, I guess I am, since the post posted.

By the poster who posted it.

Trivia: how many times can we use the word "post", in its various incarnations, in the same thread?

I think the "log on" while you're actually logged on may be one of their ways to defend the board.

I'll be the poster to post this post while leaning on a post with a post-it.

I was going to post a post posting to the post readers they should use more 1's than 0's in the post posting process, but the post is no longer needed as it seems the posts of the posters are posting properly.
