My edited posts were doing the same, but now whatever I have typed vanishes when I post (except sig); but then it all shows correctly edited if I refresh the page.

Still problems with edited posts: parts are showing in bold that were not highlighted for that, italic is not working every time, and quotes are not showing correctly.
Refreshing no longer corrects the problem.

My guess is it is being caused by the apostrophes in your signature. Try removing them (Change "don't" to "do not", etc)

If not, I'd guess it's your browser. What are you using?
The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the government from making you answer any questions that may incriminate you.

Refusing to answer questions is NOT obstruction. Lying to the police is obstruction. If you say "I don't know" when you really do, that's obstruction. I suggest using the phrase "I'm sorry, but I don't believe it is in my best interest to answer your questions".

I find that this happens when I use the "quick edit" - but if I choose to use the advanced editing, it works properly.

And since there are no apostrophes is Zinger's sig, my first theory is blown out of the water.

You're welcome - it's still "broken" but at least we can work around it

Thing is, this has not been a problem at all since I started posting at FA - and nothing on my end has changed. Okay, I may have updated Firefox, but - that was long before this problem showed up. And I do edit my posts when I notice a typo, etc. My question would be - what has FA changed?

It just started doing it to me within the last week. Annoying to say the least.
