Why does this forum log me out so quickly?

Everytime I come back to the forum to read responses, etc., it tells me I am not logged in. Is there a setting where I can indicate to keep me logged in? What is the default auto-logoff time set for?

When you log in, are you clicking on the "Remember Me" thingy?

No, but "remember me" is different from "keep me logged in", isn't it?

What's the default logon time before the system knocks a user offline?

"remember me" is exactly the same as "keep me logged in".

Wasn't there a problem posted here some months ago where someone was getting logged out each time they replied to a post? I think it came down to their using Firefox and somewhere there was an incompatibility.

Maybe...but this poster said they are not checking the box to be remembered when they log in, so of course they are being logged out every time they leave the page. It didn't sound like this poster is being logged out on the same session, only when they leave and come back (like the next day).

Between visits, are you closing your browser? If so, either stop that, or use the "remember me" function. Do note that leaving the browser open will only work for so long regardless.
