Any real attorneys here?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? HI

Do any practicing attorneys participate in this forum? Why exactly does no one give a direct answer to an inquiry, instead of flaming the inquirer or rambling on about some irrelevant issue? For example, assume someone posts: "My wife was murdered by an intruder. Do I have a case?" The probable replies: "You idiot! She had it coming!" "The concept of Intruding is obviously subjective and therefore you do not have a case, since the alleged intruder may or may not have known that he was in fact intruding while murdering your wife." "How do you know the intruder was intentionally intruding? Perhaps he was merely randomly intruding." "Anyone whose wife is murdered by an intruder has no case."

While I appreciate free speech, it would be somewhat more helpful (and more credible) if this forum were slightly less antagonistic toward people seeking "free advice." Of course, one does get one pays for, a tenet that should be headlined on this site.

If you did and you still don't like the quality of the service you get, collect your refund on the way out.

ETA: I just read your thread ~ you got rocked by JETX which is typical. You got excellent advice from quincy who knows his stuff and even tranquility put in his two cents. I'd say you were rocked and talked by the best this forum has to offer. The offer of the refund still stands.

Yes, there are a few.

Very often it is because the person making the post only provides a very partial 'history' of the situation or a very biased one. And also, it is very common that the OP comes on the forum only wanting to hear what they want... and doesn't accept the ACCURATE legal answer.

As in your case. Your responses to your thread ramble and offer very little REAL information.

I ACCURATELY answered your questions.

You asked: "My question is: can I sue "pro se" (without a lawyer)?"
My answer: "Of course you can, that is your legal right."

You asked: "Does the fact that the HOA is in litigation with him have any effect on my ability to sue him for slander?"
My answer: "Nope."

On top of that, then you got juvenile and decided to challenge the FREE responses with: "So, in other words, there are no participants here who are actually knowledgeable on the subject. Anyway, good luck with your freshman exams."

BTW.... You're welcome!!

NOW... QUIT YOUR BITCHING!!!

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Now come on JET honey, you and both know that you like the bitching just a tad. It most often provides us with a few good laughs.

Thanks!

Thanks for clearing that up. Possibly you might consider resisting "flaming" inquirers at some point in the interest of civility. Of course, it's your dime. What's up with the anti-government white supremacist thing you have going?

Advice gives advice, not facts. Facts can be looked up. Look up the facts you want. Yes, you can sue. That you didn't know that, shows that such a suit will resut in a loss and a countersuit for malicious prosecution.

Now, to the question, "Can I sue?", what is the answer?

Hey! I know the answer to that one. It's YES! Anyone can sue anyone at any time for any reason.

Here's one for you, tranq. If they sue, can they win?
