Auto titles and registration

What is the name of your state?

Arizona

Two years ago my mother passed away. She lived in Mississippi and I lived in Alabama. In her will she gave me her car....1998 Ford Escort. I took it to Alabama and tried to get a new title. Since the title she had did not have her complete legal name....(she never used her legal first name except in her will).....the state of Alabama said I had to prove that both those names were the same person....they gave me a one year registration and license.....
Okay, before I could figure out how to get that information together, I moved to Arizona and left the car with my sister-in-law. She tried to get the title and could not get it.
Eventually she moved to Arizona too. So now the car is here....it has an Alabama license on it but no title.
What do I need to do to get a title and register this car in Arizona. I have my mother's will, probate info, original title....everything one would need to get a car titled, but don't want to go through what I did in Alabama.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? I've looked at the Arizona dept. of Transportation but there isn't anything regarding a situation like this.
Any help would so appreciated. Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise! What is the name of your state?
