Bank deposited my business checks into wrong account

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado
I changed banks in June of 2008. During July & August I was moving my business & had a lot of personal issues going on within my family. I had not signed up for online banking yet & missed a business deposit, that so happen went into another persons personal account. I always check my business account on a weekly basis online, however, this time there was way too much going on in my life & I missed it. When I was wrapping up my taxes & doing the finial reconciliation of my business checking account, I found the error. My clients sent me their cleared checks & I took them to the bank. The bank did find the error, but said I only had 30 days to protest this bank error. I was past 30 days, it is several months now. It was now up to me to contact the person the money was deposited to & collect from them. Is this true? I have called this person many times & no answer nor will he return my calls. I feel the bank has put both of us in an awkward position. Yes, I should of caught this error before tax time, I have a million excuses, but I did miss it. What can I do if anything to get my money back? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

You can start by posting this in some appropriate forum. What part of TECHNICAL ISSUES (NOT LEGAL QUESTIONS) do you not understand?
