O/T: California Residents check in...

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

Kids freaking out... pets going nuts, the earth is shaking once again...

Everyone ok?

This was an easy one (for us). Strange since I'm only a few miles (17) from the epicenter

I really don't get it. Rolled for a few seconds here, then very hard jerking. You'd think you and I would be feeling the same thing since we're a mere couple of minutes from each other. Looked outside, no damage to the building, a couple of things fell down, but nothing broken.

All the things about which I keep saying "I should strap that down" barely even trembled. It's really giving me a false sense of security!

It was really wierd. I reading the thread and read about the shake and then felt it.

Lil wireless came screaming and the dog (Juicy) went nuts. I am in Riverside so I'm sure it was no where close to as strong as what you guys felt.

Stink is a bit shell shocked as I keep looking at him. I guess this is the first good shake we've had since he's been old enough to know of earthquakes. Northridge happened before he was born.

He's a bit traumatized really.

Our dog didn't even blink. Man, our town must be built on some steady ground!

We just went downstairs. I picture fatality. Every other one was crooked. That was a good one for a 5.0. They haven't updated the court's response system yet. Generally, they don't let us in the building after anything bigger than a 4.0 because the building is so old until Building and Safety can inspect. I forsee us sitting outside a very long time tomorrow morning...

I have been known to disappear when that happens. Generally, straight to my house. CC does NOT sit outside. Once they made them sit outside for 3 1/2 hours while inspecting the building. I found out about it the next day. I went to lunch and never came back.
