What to do

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Jersey I would like to know, What happens if you find a ipod touch and then find out it was stolen. Then You get suspened from school for 3 days because they think you stole it. Then the parents are deciding wether or not they want to press charges, even though they got the ipod touch back. And do they have a case, and if so what could happen?

The first thing you do is to post your question in a forum appropriate to the topic, NOT to the forum on technical glitches.
