What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Connecticut
I am 21, male. According to http://www.ageofconsent.com/ageofconsent.htm, the age of consent in CT is 16.
I want to know if there are any laws that would pose a risk to me in this situation- I meet a girl on the internet who is 16 and we go out and have sex.
There is no giving of alcohol, taking of photos, or crossing state lines.
I have found two laws that are mentioned often online, but as far as I understand them, they do not apply here.
There is a CT law S.B. 1312 Public Act No. 99-113 http://www.cga.state.ct.us/ps99/act/pa/pa113.htm
but that law says it only applies if she were under 16.
There are also people who talk about federal law title 18 USC 2251, but it appears to only refer to creating pornography? I am unable to understand it.

So, are there any laws that would be a risk to me? Please point out a specific law (a link would be appreciated as well). I will ignore any religious or moral opinions.
And finally, suppose the internet was never involved and I met her out in public, all within CT; would that mean that no Federal laws could apply? In that situation, are there any CT laws that would be a concern?
Thank you very much for your help.
