What is the name of your state? Texas

My 17 year old son's friend, Joe, asked another friend, Steve, to use his vehicle. Steve willingly gave his keys to Joe. Now Steve's parents are pressing auto theft charges on Joe and are trying to say my son was involved; this is based on his and Joe's friendship. Steve's parents lied to the police and said the keys were in the truck, their son didn't give the keys to Joe. My son was not involved - he was at home with me. What options do I have??? A quick answer would be greatly appreciated!
