What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MD

I am being charged with 4th Degree Burglary. Is it considered burglary if I am the owner of the property? I obtained my items from a home that I had previously rented and was unsuccessful in scheduling an appointment through law enforcement to get my items from the landlord. I can possibly see Trespassing but Burglary? Please advise.
