i have been under a verbal contract with an apartment complex to act as onsite manager. I was never given any cash payment but all was deducted from my rent. I was given rent money from tenents gave them a signed reciept for moneys collected,I then turned this cash in to main office with a note saying who rent money i had. the cash has disappeared and i have been accused of stealing it. i did not get a reciept for this money because I thought we were all working for the same company I could trust them. now I am in this terrible mess and do not know what to do. please help me.
