I was assualted, had witnesses, body covered in bruises and grazes, 30 % of my clothes ripped, but this was not an attempted sexual assault. This person hit me with their open hand several times, knocked me to the ground, had the knee pressed into my throat and if it hadnt been for people entering the room, I believe I would be dead now, as I had already started to loose conciousness.
if I chose to have the other person charged what is the actual crime they would be charged with and what would the probable penalty be, I would also like to know the allowable time limit on reporting this crime.
