Assualt / Battery Charge Advice

What is the name of your state? MI

I was just informed by the police that I have a charge against me for hitting a guy once in a bar. He did get a slight black eye and we were both drunk. That was the only punch thrown. Any advice? Should I get a lawyer, just plea guilty, etc...

My response:

Let's see . . .

You assaulted and battered someone. Then, you get on the Internet, and finally find this site. Then, you take the time to figure out how to work this site, and decide to go through all of the work to register.

Then, after all that, you ask, "Should I get a lawyer, just plea guilty, etc..."

I think you should opt for the "etc."

Let me see, you got in the internet, probably dial up through AOL b/c you couldn't figure out how to intall a NIC card. Then you search for posts that seem 'dumb' to you and insult the person. Slow day in the McDonald's manager office?

My response:

Yes. But, at least with posts like yours, I'm able to get a few laughs!

My response:

Did you understand this? I'll say it again, slowly:

. . . and you're the one who's going to be dealing with the Criminal and Civil Justice system, paying fines, paying an attorney, perhaps doing some jail time, and definately going to be paying Civil damages when he sues you!

Keep it up! You're a terrific guy! Keep laughing it up - - you've got a lot to laugh about!

Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!

My response:

Geez, are you still here LardAss?

I would have thought by now, you would have been tried and convicted - - and doing the old "bump and grind" with Bubba!

That's your REAL future. Get used to it!
