I was previously offered a job and before I could start training a background check came back that made me ineligible. The background check was performed by a company called IntelliSense and they found some court records dated 8/21/03 that has felony charges listed. I've been to jail since then and been pulled over several times and this is my first time finding out about these charges. What do I need to do to get them off of my record?

Have you requested a copy of the background search?

Have you contacted them and asked what the procedure is to dispute their findings?

If you signed a disclosure for the Fair Credit Reporting Act, they have to give you a copy by law.
