i live in kentucky. could you tell me if someone came in my house and the door was unlocked while i was away and accessed private info. on my computer and stored it on a disk they brought with them for the purpose of using it against me. could they be held liable for a crime? there was no forced entry and no property loss or damage occured. even though there is no proof they were at the residents other than the disk that belongs to them and there is no way to prove how they got the info.
