What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio (Georgia law applicable though).

I have a friend who moved down to Georgia a few months ago and got caught up in an ongoing feud between his girlfriends' family. He moved back up here, but he now has monthly calender date check-ins where he has to return to Georgia. Does anyone know if there anyway things can be set-up so that he can check-in here in Ohio? Any agreement between the states?

Little other background information: He's got a job here, it's not a good one, but it's at least work. He wasn't able to find one while in Georgia and no longer has a place to live down there.

Any ideas would be very helpful. Thank you for your time.

I assume you're telling us he was actually convicted of committing some crime and is on probation? He can get the probation transferred, but he needs to start that with his existing probation officer and it is at the discretion of both states and can take months to setup.

Hopefully, he had permission to leave the state, otherwise it's hard to get exceptions to probation when you're already violating it.
