What is the name of your state? pennsylvania

If a felon has held a public office for 16 years in which he was elected by the people, can someone try to remove him from his position? Under the Pennsylvania Constitution Article II Section 7 it says" No person hereafter convicted of embezzlement of public moneys, bribery, perjury or any other infamous crime, shall be eligible to the General Assembly, or capable of holding any office of trust or profit in this Commonwealth." The office that is being held is a elected township office in which he volunteers his time with no compensation therefore it is not an office of profit, and has nothing to do with any funds or money what so ever. Looking for cases in which the defendent has been victorious in this situation. Any info on this would be helpful. Thank you
