I was accused a crimes that I did not commit. One crime my own brother committed and then had the nerve to blame me for it. My lawyer advised me to plead guilty because if convicted I could do time. Acting in haste, I took his advise and I also waived my right to a preliminary hearing. Later on I realized I made a mistake. Why should I plead guilty to a crime I did not commit. I also feel my lawyer gave me bad advise. Anyway my question is, Can I change my plea and get a preliminary hearing or is it too late?
