My 4-year-old son was in a public play tunnel. Two girls, approximately 6 and 10 years old surrounded him and were beating on him. My 4-year-old bit one on the leg, leaving a large bruise but no breaking of skin. Mother of girls reported my 4-year-old to the police and had us followed. Girls admit hitting him but say they did it in "self-defense" because my son pushed the younger one. The only witnesses are the three children. Could we be liable if they litigate? What should we do next?
