What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana
My husband was arrested in Nov on charges of indecent behavior with juvenile, pornography involving juveniles, and computer aided soliciation of a minor. He has since found a lawyer (who tells him different than any other lawyer) not to worry about anything. I know the jail time for each crime is 2 years min. I have a question about the pronography charge. His lawyer says he took a picture of himself (private part) and send it to the undercover agent. He has no picture of a juvenile. Isn't this adult pornography and not child pornography. Any advise you can give is great.

thanks

if you want to find out how these things work, I suggest you go to www.perverted-justice.com.

This is NOT a porn site. They are the folks that help police get folks like your husband. If you read through some of their cases, you will gain a great deal of insight.

As to your question, anything that arouses or excites the adult or the minor is prohibited.

Yep, even if that involves illegal activities to accomplish their self-promoting vigilante efforts.
I suggest you go to corrupted-justice.com before you hold these criminals up as any community standard.

I am not aware of any statue number. We have not recieved any papers. His lawyer just tells him not to worry. The last paper we reveived was on 6/25/08 for his arrainment. We have not heared anything else. I also wanted a web site that would show cases or jail terms for these combinded crimes. Just so I could better prepare my self for being a single mother soon to be divorced.

The purpose of the arraignment is to recite the specific charges to the accused.

Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile is La. RS 14:81. The penalty varies depending on the victim's age. If over 13, it's $5000 and/or up to seven years. If younger, an absolute minimum (without parole or probation) of two years, up to 25 years.

Pornography with juveniles is 14:81.1. Again if 13 or over, $10,000 or 2-10 years. If younger, 25 to life (with at least 25 years served) plus lifetime electronic monitoring.

While the picture of his own genitals does not fit under 14.81.1, if he did anything to solicit the child to send him back a picture (I'll show you mine, if you show me yours), that's all that is necessary (even if the photography of the child did not occur).

I'd be worried. Some reading for you:
