If a false document is created at work how is that treated, as a civil or criminal action if taken to court? ThankYou for your help.

It all depends on who seeks legal action against you. If your former employer sues you for your actions, it would be a civil case. If your former employer calls in a law enforcement agency and it is determined you have broken the law, criminal charges will be brought against you. Do not be surprised if both criminal and civil charges are brought up against you.
