    criminal trial...

What is the name of your state? US

it is my guess that i may be headed towards and arrest and trial some time in the future (even thought i think i am innocent). for obvious reasons i do not want to disclose details about what is involved.

    REVISED QUESTION:
IF ANOTHER PERSON HAS BEEN AQUITED ON THE EXACT SAME CRIMINAL CHARGES, IS THERE MECHANISM IN OUR LEGAL SYSTEM THAT WOULD ALLOW A DEFENDENT TO DURING A TRIAL POINT TO AN AQUITAL IN ANOTHER CASE AND HAVE THE CHARGES DISMISSED OR ASK THE JURY TO DELIVER EQUAL JUSTICE IN MY TRIAL? IF SUCH A MECHANISM EXISTS, WHAT IS THE MECHANISM THAT WOULD ALLOW A DUPLICATE AQUITAL OR EVEN TO HAVE THE CHARGES DISMISSED? WHAT IS THE LIKELYHOOD OF A DUPLICATE AQUITAL?
    (please, serious answers only.)

i was talking to an associate and she said a few years ago she essencially committed the same offense, showed me the documents, but she was aquited. she told me how her defense attorney got her aquited.

i cannot afford my own attorney so if things should turn for the worse, when i am given a Public Defender, can i tell him about the case, have him look it up and have him duplicate the defense of my associate for me? to what degree could i expect aquited like my associate?

Frist, without the details of your situation, we can not give any relevant advice as to whether or not what you ask can/will happen.

Second, just because another person was successfully defended does not mean that you will be as well.

Third, a public defendef just "looking a case up" will not mean they will be able to successfully duplicate the efforts of the former defendant's lawyer. The first lawyer's success could be linked to only jury emotional manipulation, which of course can not be duplicated unless you got the exact same jury.

There's a chance (due to possible precedence), but w/o a good lawyer, that chance dwindles away faster and faster...
