What is the name of your state? Georgia

I was called by an investigator to come in for questioning. He asked about identity theft. Here's the facts:
I never received any money, or merchandise.
I was never seen on any cameras nor did i sign anything.
I received someone's personal info from work.
I attempted to get something in their name.
I did sign my name on piece of notebook paper stating I did it (without a lawyer present) because he said if I did I could go home. (stupid, yes)

I know that the attempt was wrong but what am I looking at? I haven't contacted an attorney yet but I guess I should. Help....

I'd appreciate no sarcastic responses, "real" advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, they have a case. As to what you are looking at - that would depend on specifically what they will charge you with. At this point, nobody can say as we don't have the details.

Talk to an attorney ASAP. In my state you would likely face multiple felonies.

I think I'm getting charged with identity theft or attempted identity theft (which is basically the same) I'll call an attorney asap.
