DPA & 2 Municipals?

What is the name of your state? WI

Hey Guys, I've been giving a 2-Year DPA (Defered Prosecutor Agreement) For a Felony Class H Manufacturing Of THC.

I've been behaving for 8 months now, however i found myself involved in lets call it a pushing and yelling match with 3 other people. No Fists thrown, no nothing, just pushing, chasing, etc. The victim Calls the cops, me and 2 others are cited with:

1. Carrying Concealed Weapon: Brass knuckles in glove box of veichle. ($289.00)
2. Disorderly Conduct: Intent To start altercation with another subject: ($249.00)

Both were written up as citations (and a summons to court to appeal the charges if i wish) and i was free to leave. These are municipals correct? Not misdemeanors?

Now will these 2 charges re-open my Felony case, and void my DPA? Or is it only misdemeanors that will do that. Should i get a lawyer, and attempt to get these 2 new charges dropped?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks alot guys
-John

Carrying a concealed weapon is a class A misdemeanor. Even summary offenses are technical violations of your probation. Whether they're going to hang your deferral on this depends on the probation department and the prosecutor. Suffice it to say you've put your self in the heavy screw the pooch mode.

I don't know much about the dif. between municipal and misdemeanor. Aren't you required to appear in court for a misdemeanor? I thought since both were written up as citations they were both municipals, and that was the impression my lawyer was under to over the phone, although i may be wrong.

Thanks
