Can a Federal prisoner be released if he is not placed permanently in a Federal Prison within sixty days of his sentence?

Is the person in County Jail? They can keep him wherever they want to for as long as they want to until there is a place for him in Federal Prison. They can move him from County Jail to county jail to county jail. Have you checked with his lawyer? That is the best place to start. Once a person is sentenced, they have to serve the time. No exceptions.

Believe it or not didn't even think of that. It's my uncle who is in Federal prison and his daughter keeps calling me. He said he heard it on the "inside." Thanks for the tip.
