Embezzelment?

I have researched embezzelment charges and im am still a little confused. I used my position in a store to make it so someone could walk out with merchandise. If i did it myself wouldnt that be embezzlement? i was charged with felony embezzlement over 1000 under 20,000. i take it there isnt a accessory charge i could have gotten instead? any help would be very appreciated.

The general rule in criminal law is that people are no longer charged as accessories but as principals.

well even with my record (which is kind of bad) i am only facing 5 months to 15 years hopefully it will be closer to the jail terms so i can get it out and get on with my poor excuse for a life and try to finally grow up. thank you seniorjudge for your reply.
