I am wondering what is the law for embezzlement in the state of michigan. I was caught taking money and gift cards from a department store I worked at. The amount is less than a thousand dollars. I am wondering what are the possible outcomes in my case? Also I am wondering what are the laws for over a thousand dollars and what should my course of action be? I have no prior incidents at all on my record and I would like to know what is the best possible way to get this charge reduced. I am in college and hope to maintain a decent record and be able to apply for jobs with out worry of a felony conviction on my record. All advice is greatly appreciated?
